A big welcome to all of my lovely followers and visitors to my little space in the crafting world of blogland! I love colouring, drool over every embellishment and love to 'look' at papers (never mind using them) - some are just TOO good to use lol. I hope you enjoy your little wander through my creative world and would love to feel that I may have inspired some of you in some small way. Happy Crafting to you all and I hope you will stop by again soon!

Smokin' Hot

Hey all ..... hope I'm not doing all of your heads in with all my recent posts, but I really wanted to share this gorgeous gal I've coloured up called Smokin' Hot.  You can find this little beauty HERE - she's a new image created by the extremely talented Krista Smith of Saturated Canary!

As soon as I saw her I had to have her!  You see, she so reminds me of what I'm going to look like on my jollies this year ...... yep! You read it right!! I know what you're thinking ...... "Oh yes, in her dreams!!!"  Well, okay, you might be a little bit right in thinking that way ..... my hair isn't actually this beautiful shade of purple and I will most definitely be wearing a hat ..... but, apart from that ........... ;)

Oh .... okay!!! The only similarity will be the ties on the side of the bikini bottoms ... and they probably won't even be that neat lol.

I seem to have an obsession with colouring hair a bit different to the norm at the moment and purple is my all time favourite colour to use.

I coloured this little honey up with my Copics in the following shades:
Skin:  E000, 00, 11, R11
Hair:  V000, 12, 15, 17
Bikini:  BG10, 13, 15, 49

For her scrummy ice-cream I used Tulip Beads in a Bottle from Joanna Sheen for the cherry and Liquid Pearls white opal for the ice-cream.

List of materials used for my card are:

Rhinestone Sparklers The Hobby House
Rhinestone Flourish  The Hobby House
Mulberry Rose Collection The Hobby House
Woodware Self Adhesive Lace The Art of Craft
Pearl String Live & Love Crafts
Prima Zipper
Small purple flowers/Self adhesive pearls The Hobby House

I'd like to enter this babe into the following:

A Gem of a Challenge #81 - Bring on the Sunshine
Crafty Calendar May Challenge - Blooms & Blossoms
Joanna Sheen Challenge - Girls, Girls, Girls
Live & Love Crafts #11 - 50 Shades of .... Lilac
Saturated Canary Challenge #44 - Hair that is different

Right then, I think that's about all from me today ..... hope you've all had a fabulous weekend so far and, if you're in the UK like moi, enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend ..... extra day off!! Yay!!!

Big hugs,

Challenges 4 Everybody #21 - Anything Goes

Hey peeps!  What a busy Sunday morning I'm having ...... I'm back with another ANYTHING GOES challenge at Challenges 4 Everybody.

This next fortnight we are sponsored by the fabulous Lacy Sunshine and I chose to use the adorably cute,
Lil Fidget ....

I made a butterfly easel card to sit Lil Fidget on - the card was a little tricky as I decided, in my wisdom, to design and hand cut my very own and wasn't quite sure what the outcome would be lol.  I'm pretty pleased with the result as I think it goes nicely with Lil Fidget and her beautiful wings :)

I cut up a few doilies to edge the whole of the facing butterfly and cut separate pieces of card to apply to the wings.

I'm still loving colouring hair with different colours than the norm and, as purple's my favourite colour, Fidget had no choice in the matter lol.  She's coloured with Copics in the following:

Skin:  E000, 00, 21, R11   Hair:  V000, 12, 15, 17
Orange tones:  YR02, 61, 68   Green tones:  YG00, 03, 23

I added a flittering of glitter to her pretty hair and some flat backed pearls and gems around pretty much the whole of the card, attached a sentiment onto my beautiful heart die and she's all ready for my daughter to give to my granddaughter on Wednesday for her 4th birthday :)

My apologies if the pic is a bit dark ..... Our natural daylight has been practically non-existent of late and even my daylight lamp couldn't cope!!

Can't wait to see what you create for our Challenge and best of luck to you all!

I'd like to enter my card into the following:

Crafts 4 Eternity - #125 Get in to Shape
Crafty Catz - A Fancy Fold or Two
Digi Haven - Butterflies
Dutch Dare Card Challenge - #218 Flutterby Butterfly
Southern Girls Challenge - Going Spotty Dot
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Doilies and Dies
Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping along today and hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Hugs,

Lacy Sunshine Ch #9 - Anything Goes

Hello everyone, I'm back to let you all know that Challenge No. 9 has started over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge and, for this next fortnight, we'd like to see your fabulous, hand-coloured creations any which way you'd like!  Yep!! It's ANYTHING GOES and so the sky's the limit!

For this challenge we are showcasing Heather Valentin's brand new Myth Collection and, I'm not embarrassed to say, I squealed with delight and did a massive happy dance when I saw this beautiful image Heather sent me to create with!!! She's called Selene - Moon Goddess and you can find her HERE.

This is the OFFICIAL and ONLY authorised shop for Heather Valentin's digital stamps.
How stunningly beautiful is she?

For my background I used some beautiful starry night paper from my stash.  I added some gorgeous Katy Sue Designs silhouette stickers, including the sentiment, which I have had for an absolute age but have only ever used once!  I think they look absolutely magical with the gorgeous Selene as centre stage :)  I heat embossed the edges of the card and sentiment and inked the sentiment up with Brilliance Dew Drops in Sky Blue and Mediterranean Blue.

I coloured Selene with my trusty Copics, hand cut the circle around her head to give the effect of the moon behind her, then fussy cut around her dress.  I had an inky time with the moon and used my Brilliance Dew Drops in Starlite Silver, Starlite Black and Moonlight White.  I used my Heat It Up silver embossing powder for the moon, stars and fairy dust around Selene.

Copics I used for this little lady are:
Skin:  E000, 00, 21, R11
Hair:  W1, 3, 5, 7
Dress:  B32, 39, 45

I hope you like my take on the gorgeous Selene today and hope you'll hop on over to the challenge, pop your entry in and take a look at the amazing mythological creations of my DTeamies!

I would like to enter this little Moon Goddess into the following:

Mad for Markers - One for the Girls
Sarah Hurley Challenges - #80 Shades of Blue
Sister Act Card Challenge - #8 Always Anything Goes
Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Ch #44 Monochromatic
Stamp 'n' Doodle - Feeling Blue
Stampin' for the Weekend - Monochrome

Thanks for popping by today and Happy Crafting!

613 Avenue Create Ch #21 - Anything Goes

Good Morning everyone and a happy Sunday to one and all!

It's a fresh challenge over at 613 Avenue Create and, for this week's challenge, the theme is
ANYTHING GOES!!!

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Meljen's Designs and I chose to use this fab image called
 'Just Like Dad'

I thought this image was perfect to make a card for my little boy, George, to give to his Dad on Father's Day!  I don't usually make that many CAS cards, but have made two within the last week!  George's Daddy is absolutely NOT a fussy/fancy kinda guy and I just know he's gonna love the simplicity of this one :)  The only embellishments are the little bling gems I added onto my doodly sides and a few little ones around the image!

I thought I'd share my tongue in cheek little poem I made up for the inside of the card lol.  It's for a little bit of fun ..... and a whole lot of love at the end of it.

Click on the image if you need a closer look :)

I coloured this fab little man in Copics in the following:

Skin:  E000, 00, 21, R11   Hat/Jacket/Trousers:  W1, 3, 5, 7
Blue Tones: B000, 12, 93, 95, 97   Green Tones:  BG10, 13, 15, 49

My teamies have made some fabulous creations again this week and I'd love for you to pop on over, have a little browse and enter your gorgeous creations whilst you're there!

I hope you can join us in the Neighbourhood this week - we can't wait to see what you create!

I'd like to enter this card into the following:

Big hugs,

Anyone for cake?

Hi everyone!  Hope you've all had a fab weekend!  The weather was a little turn up for the books where we are - lots and lots of sunshine yesterday and we definitely made the most of it :)  Good job as, alas, today is back to square one ...... rain ..... again!! Bluuuurgh!!

My card today is extremely CAS for little old me!  My little Granddaughter turns 4 next week and I have made this sweet card for my little boy to give to her!

As soon as I saw this image I thought of our little Lola Blu and her little love of cake!

The sweet image and fab sentiment is from DigiStamp Boutique and is called Daisy and cake.

I coloured Daisy with Copics in the following:

Purples:  V12, V15, V17    Blues:  B12, B23
Skin:  E000, E00, E21, R11     Hair:  E35, E37, E53
Tray and Shadow:  C1, C3, C5

I added a bit of blue 'butter icing' for the centre of the cake and a nice thick layer of scrummy icing for the top of the cake using my Liquid Pearls and Baby Blue and White Opal.

I'd like to enter this little lady into the following:

CAS on Sunday - Pastel Pretties
Crafts 4 Eternity - Sweet Tooth
DigiStamp Boutique - May Competition

Challenges 4 Everybody #20 - Anything Goes

Oh yes! I'm back again ..... hope you're not all tired of me yet lol.

Today begins the start of another fresh challenge at Challenges 4 Everybody and, as always, it's ANYTHING GOES

We are sponsored this next fortnight by the fabulous Bugaboo who are offering our winner a choice of 7 digi stamps!

The image I chose for today's card is Dottie 2 Step and here she is ....

Isn't she fab!

I made a gatefold card and drew a kind of saloon door shape to the front and cut around.  I then cut 1cm deep strips out of Kraft card and lined them up so that they hang slightly over the one below to give the wooden slat effect.  I then inked to add a look of weathered wood!

The backing papers are from a REALLY old set by Dovecraft but I think they're perfect for this dancing cowgirl :)

I used one of my Kanban stamps for the sentiment then twirled some twine around to make it look like a lasso!

I coloured Dottie with my Copics and, for some reason completely unknown to me, I decided to give her blue hair to match her jeans lol.  I do love colouring 'different' hair colours - you can check my other tones I've tried out HERE and HERE if you like ..... they're definitely a lot of fun to try out!

I hope you like my take on Dottie 2 Step and I'd love for you to pop on over to the Challenge and see what else my DTeamies have come up with and to pop your creations in whilst you're there!

I would like to enter Dottie into the following:

A Little Bit Crafty - Kraft It
Cute Card Thursday - #268 Something Blue

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs, xx

Lady Maddie

Good Morning all - hope you've all had a brilliant weekend!  Mine flew by, as per usual, and back to the grindstone today but, before I tootle off to work, I thought I'd share with you my little creation from yesterday.

Here is the delightful 'Lady Maddie Gatsby'

Isn't she just adorable in her fancy attire?  This li'l lady is another brand new digi by the ever so talented artist, Heather Valentin, and you can find her HERE at the Lacy Sunshine store.

I coloured this little beauty with both Copics and Pro Markers - I added a few more pleats here and there and am pretty pleased with how she turned out :)

The backing cards are both from Kanban - I'm having a good ole rummage into my old stash and enjoying my finds along the way!  I added a strip of lace and beautiful velvet ribbon, also from my stash!  The flowers are a mixture of The Hobby House and Wild Orchid Crafts.

A little close up of this gorgeous gal!

Hope you like my little creation today and, if you get a chance, why not head on over to the store and see what other lovely ladies Heather introduced to the world yesterday.

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #8 - No Squares Allowed

Hey all - I'm back with my second post of the day!

It's time for another fresh challenge over at Lacy Sunshine and, for this next fortnight the theme is
No Squares Allowed

Our images this time are showcasing Heather Valentin's brand new, adorably cute animals and I was lucky enough to be sent the most gorgeous 'Sabrina Smilodon' to play with.  You can find this little cutie, along with lots more brand new digis, at Heather's shop HERE -  The Official and Only Authorized Shop for Heather's Images

How cute?? Super duper cute I'd say :)

I created an easel card and then cut the corners with my fancy corner scissors.  My backing papers are Kanban Animal Print, which I have had in my stash for a pretty long time but which I thought would suit Sabrina perfectly!  The sentiment is also Kanban and says 'Enjoy Your New Pad' - very apt too I thought :)

The lace and ribbon are from my stash.  The beautiful pearl brad is from The Hobby House and the cute little buttons are Dovecraft.

I coloured little Sabrina up with Copics and inked the whole area around her.  The little butterfly on her nose inspired me to add a butterfly next to her - so I die-cut a 'tiger' butterfly and attached.  I'm telling you, that must be the biggest butterfly she ever did see ..... ha ha!

Well, I hope you'll flutter on over to see the fabulous creations made by my fab teamies and we'd love to see what you create with our theme this time!

I'd like to enter Sabrina into the following:

Challenge #19 - 613 Avenue Create

Morning everyone! Hope you're all fine and dandy!

It's that time again and the start of a new challenge over at 613 Avenue Create.  The theme for this week is Anything Goes with the option of Shaped Cards

Our Sponsor this week is the fabulous Rick St Dennis and this is the very first time I've coloured up one of his amazingly detailed images!

Introducing Victoria McSteeme!  I actually didn't realise, until I was colouring her up, that she has a little Steampunk theme going on .......... I guess the clue's in her name lol.

I coloured the very grand Victoria up with Copics and, wow! .... there really is SO much detail on her!! She was an absolute pleasure to colour up - hats off to RSD for being so very talented!

For my 'shape' I chose to do an oval easel card - this is also a first for me!  My dp's are a mixture of Papermania 'Chronology' and Maja Vintage Spring.  I rummaged around in my vintage/steampunk box and fished out my metal gears and clock hands!  I also die-cut a couple of my Tim Holtz gears!

The final addition was adding some self-adhesive pearls and a whole string of them around Victoria and voila! ..... hope you like :)

I'd love for you to pop on over to the Avenue, have a browse through my DTeamies fab creations and leave us one of your own creations whilst your there!

I would like to enter Victoria into the following:
